Notice of potential suspension of federal student financial assistance

The eligibility for federal student financial assistance (Canada Student Grants and Loans) for students attending the following five post-secondary educational institutions is currently under review by the Government of Canada. The Government of Canada has undertaken this review under Section 6.4 of the Canada Student Financial Assistance Act in order to ensure that the provision of financial assistance to students attending these institutions does not expose the students or His Majesty in right of Canada to significant financial risk. The institutions are:

A final decision on whether to suspend federal financial assistance to students attending these institutions will be made once the review is complete a few weeks after the deadline to provide comments mentioned below. If funding is suspended, further Canada Student Loan (CSL) and Canada Student Grant (CSG) funding to attend classes at these institutions will no longer be provided. Funding previously awarded will not be affected unless there is clear evidence that it was obtained fraudulently.

While no action is required from current or prospective students at this time, if you wish to provide any comments relating to this Notice, please provide them in writing to pcafe-csfa-verification@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca by close of business on October 31, 2025.

This Notice is designed to provide the students with an opportunity to make submissions for the Minister’s consideration before a final decision is made. The Notice must not be construed to imply wrongdoing or misconduct on the part of the institutions.
